MS Amlin Underwriting has struck a deal to buy US MGA International Transportation and Marine Office (Itmo) as it implements a new strategy to provide access to US MGAs.

The carrier said its plans to tap the US specialty MGA market will help to balance out its catastrophe exposure and allow it to build on its core portfolio.
