Truist Insurance-owned retail broker McGriff has named David Larson as national risk control director, a new role that comes amid a renewed focus by intermediaries on risk mitigation, as market conditions continue to harden.

Larson, a 35-year veteran of the insurance industry, moves from Lockton, where he was a senior vice president and risk services practice leader.
