Tropical Storm Risk has forecast a North Atlantic hurricane season 25%-30% more active than the long-term norm in 2021, representing a slight rise from its initial forecast.

It said, however, that the season will probably be only slightly more active than the 10-year norm, as measured from 2011, which features three intense hurricanes, seven hurricanes and 17 tropical storms.
