Amwins has acquired a managing general agency that specializes in insuring animal related risks, in an expansion of the wholesale broking giant’s $1.7bn underwriting arm.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Equisure provides cover to dog and horse owners, as well as clubs and associations. The coverholder joins Amwins’ 60 program management businesses.
