Commercial insurance data InsurTech Planck raises $20mn

Commercial insurance data provider Planck has raised $20mn in funding, to bring the start-up’s total funding raised to date to $48mn, as an ever-wider pool of insurers start using artificial intelligence-based data platforms to help underwrite risks.

The InsurTech said the extra funding from new investors 3L Capital and Greenfield Partners and existing backers Team8, Viola Fintech, Arbor Ventures and Eight Roads, would be used to build out its US team and create a presence internationally.
