The outlook for insurers’ private equity (PE) investments is positive – so long as the US economy continues to grow steadily, the trajectory of stock markets remains high and interest rates stay low, according to AM Best.

The ratings agency’s recent report – Private Equity Investments Still Attractive to US Insurers – found that US carriers’ PE holdings by grew by 14.8%
