AM Best has downgraded the financial strength rating of Kingstone Insurance Company from B++ with a negative outlook to B+ with a stable outlook, highlighting volatile underwriting results in recent years as a driver.

The company’s long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) was also adjusted to bbb- from bbb. Additionally, AM Best downgraded the long-term ICR of insurance holding company Kingstone Companies to bb- from bb.
