Ida knocks out New Orleans power

Ida has weakened to a tropical storm after knocking out power to New Orleans and other coastal areas of Louisiana overnight.

While the city itself appears to have been spared the brunt of the storm, flooding in smaller towns has left people stranded in LaPlace and Jean Lafitte as waters continue to rise.
