InsurTech Kin posts $6.9mn operating loss for Q2, as premium spikes 287%

InsurTech Kin Insurance has posted a Q2 operating loss of $6.9mn, more than double the loss of the prior-year period, although its gross profit grew over 350% to $6.8mn, compared with the same quarter last year.

The direct-to-consumer homeowners' insurer, which in July agreed to combine with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Omnichannel Acquisition Corp ahead of a public listing, reported total written premium of $24.7mn,
