Protecdiv founder and CEO Kael Coleman said that the proposed Aon-Willis merger was a “big scare” for (re)insurers, encouraging carriers to inject more capital into InsurTechs, despite the movement’s “growing pains”.

Speaking at the Inside P&C North America conference on Monday, Coleman said that insurance brokerage M&A activity could bolster partnerships between InsurTechs and reinsurers as reinsurance carriers seek more diverse distribution channels.
