Allstate Corporation has closed the sale of Allstate Life Insurance Company of New York (ALNY) to Wilton Re for approximately $400mn after receiving all required regulatory approvals.

The carrier agreed to sell its remaining life business to Wilton Re last March after closing its purchase of National General for $4bn in January.
