Markel International, a subsidiary of Markel Corporation, has hired Hiscox’s Ben Wakeham as senior war and terrorism underwriter and head of terrorism for North America, which marks Markel International’s entry into the US war and terrorism market.

Markel said Wakeham would be instrumental in growing and leading a team in the US, which will allow the carrier to serve clients locally.
