February’s Texas surplus premiums rise 6%, highest February recorded

Premiums written by surplus lines insurers hit $539.6mn in February 2022, a 5.9% rise year-over-year, making it the highest February premium recorded, the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX) reported.

Historically, February is often the lowest month for premium submissions within each annual reporting period, SLTX added.
