Kemper CoR increases 15 points in Q1 to 108.6%, slides 10 points sequentially

Specialty insurer Kemper’s first quarter P&C combined ratio increased by 15.1 points to 108.6% year-over-year but improved 10.3 points on a sequential basis.

Overall, policies in force for the company's specialty auto segment, which includes personal auto and commercial auto, declined by 0.9%.
