Global Indemnity’s break-up and sale of the American Reliable businesses and corporate shell generated $175mn in proceeds, including extracted capital, according to a presentation to investors.

The Pennsylvania-based carrier broke up its American Reliable Insurance Company subsidiary and has sold parts of the unit over the last 12 months.
