SiriusPoint has formed a special committee of independent directors to review any acquisition proposals, but there is “no assurance that any definitive agreement will be executed” with Third Point Re founder Daniel Loeb or any other party, according to CEO Scott Egan.

On a Q1 earnings call, Egan for the first time addressed Loeb’s mooted plans to attempt to take the company private.
