AIG's stock rose by almost 5% in early trading, with more minor gains for RenaissanceRe, after the pair announced the $3bn Validus M&A deal.

At the time of writing, RenRe’s share price was up 2.89% to $194.50 today, while AIG’s share price was up by 4.93%
