There are signs of an acceleration in M&A activity across the Latin American broking market amid a rising appetite among US and UK brokerages for expanding their footprint in the region.

Not only did Aon, BMS, Lockton, AJ Gallagher and Marsh strike local deals in 2022, but this year Ardonagh-owned MDS bought Brazil’s Unificado and Chile's RSG, while Lockton acquired THB Brazil from Amwins, as this publication revealed.
