Hilary to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to Southwestern US

Hurricane Hilary is expected to bring severe rains across the Southwestern US over the weekend and into next week, as the storm approaches the Baja California peninsula.

Hilary reached Category 4 intensity overnight but is expected to weaken to Cat 3 as it skirts the peninsula and de-escalate to Cat 1 as it turns north towards California.
