Arch Insurance Bermuda has promoted long-serving executive Matthew Smith to managing director from the beginning of 2024, following the retirement of Tony Hay.

Smith will oversee all aspects of managing the business’ direct insurance operations, reporting to Mike Lay, CUO for long-tail lines at Arch Insurance International.
