Nationwide plans to narrow the focus on its high-net-worth (HNW) business and migrate all personal lines business into a single operating model and platform, the carrier announced on Friday, citing “market trends” as the reason for the contraction.

The changes will take place “over the next few years” and will not impact the rest of its personal lines, small commercial, middle market, farm/agribusiness, E&S and specialty or pet policies, nor any Nationwide financial businesses.
