AIG is shuffling its senior leadership team to mark its next phase of growth, with current general insurance CEO David McElroy assuming the newly created role of chairman, general insurance effective January 1. 

In other significant changes, global head of distribution and field operations Don Bailey will become North America insurance CEO, while Jon Hancock has been named as international insurance CEO.
