Marsh McLennan books $70mn settlement from European talent dispute

Marsh McLennan has recorded a $70mn (£57.6mn) gain from a settlement over a legal dispute with a broking rival linked to a talent raid in Europe, according to the company’s Q3 10-Q filed with the SEC.

The broking house did not disclose the name of the counterparty but said the claim was related to a competitor’s “unlawful recruiting of a limited number of the company’s employees in Europe”.
