US suffers 25 $1bn disasters during first 10 months of 2023: NOAA

During January through October this year, the US experienced 25 weather events that each caused $1bn in economic losses, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

This means that the first 10 months of the 2023 rank highest for $1bn disaster-count since the NOAA began gathering the data.
