Palomar has exited commercial all risk and specialty homeowners business in Louisiana, as it forges ahead with a strategy to refine underwriting and make earnings more predictable.

Speaking on the carrier’s fourth quarter call, CEO Mac Armstrong said Palomar had pulled back from the lines of business amid a host of other underwriting changes, including the launch of seven new partnerships with other carriers.
