Palomar says Utah earthquake losses won’t breach reinsurance limit

Specialist catastrophe insurer Palomar has said that losses from this week’s earthquake in Utah won’t burst through the limit of its reinsurance programme. 

The earthquake struck Magna, Utah and the greater Salt Lake City metropolitan area on Wednesday, causing widespread damage.
