The Texas Surplus Lines Stamping Office has reported a 13.6% year-on-year rise in surplus premiums written in the state during January.

The volume of business increased to $613.6mn, with coverage for oil and gas, commercial auto liability, and cyber liability premiums growing by 30.7%,
