Berkshire Hathaway opposes shareholder call for group-wide climate disclosure

Berkshire Hathaway’s board has unanimously rejected a shareholder proposal to publish an annual assessment on how the company manages its physical and transitional climate-related risks and opportunities, saying it was not necessary.

The proposal came from California Public Employees Retirement System, Federated Hermes and CDPQ, which wanted the policy implemented before the 2022 shareholders’ meeting.
