AM Best signs up to UN’s sustainable insurance principles

AM Best has signed the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), becoming the first ratings agency to do so.

The company said the insurance sector plays an important role in supporting sustainable economic and social development, adding that the management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts will strengthen the industry’s contribution to a resilient society.
