A bipartisan trio of US senators have proposed to legalize the provision of insurance to marijuana-related business, in a move that would significantly open up the market in cannabis cover.

New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez has introduced The Clarifying Law Around Insurance of Marijuana bill, alongside Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and Jeff Merkley of Oregon.
