EU watchdog fines Moody’s for Berkshire Hathaway conflicts of interest
The European Union’s securities markets watchdog has fined ratings agency Moody’s more than EUR3.7mn ($4.3mn) for failing to avoid or disclose shareholder conflicts of interest.
The European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) fined Moody’s units in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK for several breaches.
