Archipelago, the property insurance software start-up led by RMS founder Hemant Shah, has raised $34mn in series B funding, in a deal that values the company at $184mn.

Archipelago uses artificial intelligence (AI) to pull property risk data from images, building blueprints, and written documents to give brokers and underwriters a better understanding of client asset portfolios.
