The European Commission is set to approve remedies proposed by Aon for its $30bn acquisition of Willis Towers Watson, according to a report.

European Union commission competition chief Margrethe Vestager is believed to be on board with the remedies, meaning the deal could be waved through without a statement of objections, The Capitol Forum reported on May 7.
