Hundreds of homes flooded in Louisiana after ‘100-year rainfall’

Hundreds of properties have been flooded in Louisiana, with the city of Lake Charles, one of the places worst hit by Hurricane Laura last year, particularly hard hit.

Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter said in a video message today that the rainfall totals would meet the threshold of a “100-year event”, with rainfall totals likely to exceed those of Hurricane Laura.
