Insurance broking start-up Newfront has made its first acquisition, buying Sausalito, California-based broker Aviation Marine Insurance Services (AMIS).

AMIS focuses on placing general aviation (GA) business and works across 35 states. The business is led by Scott Gault, who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics as a rower.
