Homeowners' InsurTech Kin has completed a top-up to its Series C funding round, taking the total sum raised to $69mn and securing the backing of the fund established by former world number one golfer Rory McIlroy.

Kin announced that McIlroy's Symphony Ventures had participated in the round, which was originally led by Mike Millette's Hudson Structured and Senator Investment Group.
