Building materials supply-chain disorder and a labor-market shortage are driving up construction costs and creating pricing dilemmas for general liability carriers while putting homeowners’ carriers in a “no-win situation”, BMS Group has said in a white paper.

Lumber prices surged by more than 300% year on year, largely because of pandemic-related mill shutdowns and other supply-chain issues.
