Swiss Re has linked up with the actuarial firm Milliman’s rate filing arm Milliman Appleseed to develop a new flood insurance product for cedants.

Milliman says the coverage, aimed at indemnifying against low and moderate flood risks, will allow carriers to rapidly enter new markets by reducing the complexity of submitting original rate filings.
