Biden picks former Paul Weiss and FTC attorney to lead antitrust division

The Biden administration has named an experienced prosecutor of antitrust cases, Jonathan Kanter, to the helm of the Justice Department’s antitrust division, which is suing Aon and Willis Towers Watson over the broking house’s $30bn merger, the White House said.

Kanter has been nominated for the role of Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division, under Attorney General Merrick Garland.
