Pat Gallagher has said the “door is always open” for production talent from rival brokers to join what is now set to remain the world’s fourth largest insurance broker, following the collapse of the Aon-Willis Towers Watson tie up earlier this week.

The chairman, president and CEO of the eponymous broking house expressed disappointment about the termination of the company’s agreement to buy a bevy of broking assets from Willis Towers Watson, including most of Willis Re.
