California Wildfires 2020: River Fire

The Dixie Fire blazing in Northern California has destroyed 627 building structures and damaged 42 more, as it grew 6% in the past 12 hours to cover 489,287 acres.

The latest update from California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire), at 7.27am local time on Monday 9 August, described a “constantly changing” situation, with evacuation warnings and mandatory evacuation orders in place across four counties.
