Tropical Storm Fred hit the Florida Panhandle yesterday afternoon, making landfall near Cape San Blas with sustained winds of around 50 mph.

According to a National Hurricane Centre (NHC) bulletin issued at 07:00 BST, Fred would move over extreme southeastern Alabama first, bringing heavy rain and flooding.
