McGriff's former CEO Rick Ulmer has launched legal proceedings against the company in the Florida courts over its attempts to block him from taking up a new position at Alliant Underwriting Solutions (AUS).

Ulmer had led McGriff, the retail division of Truist Insurance Holdings that places $11bn of premium according to its website, until this month.
