Tropical Depression Nine is expected to make landfall in Cuba on Friday night and could reach the Gulf Coast on Sunday evening as a Category 3 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The system is currently tracking near Jamaica and the Caymans Islands, with a tropical storm warning issued for the Cayman Islands and the Cuban provinces of Matanzas, Mayabeque, Havana, Artemisa, Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth.
