Bermuda-based start-up (re)insurer Vantage Risk has announced the launch of its political risk and construction businesses, as well as the appointment of Dane Lopes as chief commercial officer.

Dan Riordan joined Vantage in May as global head of political risk and credit.

Riordan has 30 years of experience in the industry and has held senior roles at Axa XL, Zurich and the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
