A Louisiana deductibles law raises questions in Ida's aftermath

In March, Louisiana state senator Mark Abraham sponsored a bill to modify deductibles in commercial property policies in his state.

After some amendments and discussions, the bill passed in the state’s Senate and House of Representatives a few weeks later without any votes against it, paving the way for the governor to sign it into law in June.
