Assurant posted a 48% jump in fourth-quarter net operating income on Tuesday, helped by strong sales in its auto unit and expansion of its mobile phone coverage.

The carrier reported net operating income of $143mn, compared with $97mn in the 2020 fourth quarter. For 2021, the company booked $558mn in net operating income, up 19% compared to $468mn in 2020.
