InsurTech FloodFlash scoops $15mn Series A, eyes US expansion

London-based parametric InsurTech FloodFlash has raised $15mn in a Series A funding round led by Chicago-based Buoyant Ventures, with participation from global investors including San Francisco-based Munich Re Ventures.

The round also saw backing from the Tokyo-based joint venture capital fund run by Sony Financial Ventures and Global Brain, MS&AD Ventures in San Francisco and Berlin-based PropTech 1, alongside existing investors Pentech, Local Globe and InsurTech Gateway.
