ProAssurance swings back to profits as Q4 CR improves to 96.5%

Specialty insurer ProAssurance has swung back to profits during the last quarter of 2021, as the company’s combined ratio improved to 96.5% from 105.8% a year earlier.

The improved results were fueled by underwriting gains at the carrier’s specialty P&C segment, despite experiencing losses at its workers comp division.
