AM Best places four Russian insurers under ratings review amid invasion fallout

As the war in Ukraine rages on and the financial noose tightens on Russia, AM Best has placed four Russian carrier's ratings under review with negative implications.

Citing the “heightened geopolitical, economic and financial system risk in Russia,” AM Best said it is reviewing the ratings of Russian Reinsurance Company JSC, Insurance Company Of Gaz Industry Sogaz, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company PJSC and GIC Perestrakhovanie LLC.
